MaxSeal is a proprietary, self-adhering 14 mil composite membrane that provides a superior barrier to limit air and moisture transmission through masonry, curtain walls, construction joints and fittings, and around doors and windows. This product features a butyl adhesive for superior adhesion to common building materials and a primerless self-adhering membrane, which saves both labor and material costs. It includes a cross-laminated poly facer for enhanced tear resistance and meets AAMA 711-13 specifications for self-adhered flashing. The product is waterproof, self-seals around nails, and has a thin construction to avoid bulky build-up in corners. It provides an air and watertight seal, is non-staining, and contains no asphalt. The recommended storage temperature is between 40°F and 90°F, and it has a shelf life of 2 years.
