Flannery’s Comp Clip (Patent Pending) is a revolutionary fastening clip for steel studs and is composed of 20 Gauge Spring Steel. The Comp Clip is inserted around a metal stud and then “slid” into position over the deflection track. Since the Comp Clip is slid onto the deflection track it allows it to have 100% unobstructed movement. It also allows the installer to install Comp Clips to both sides of the stud from just one side.

Quick Overview

Since the Comp Clip does not need a fastener, it can be used with the floor track reducing the bulge that occurs from screw heads behind the drywall. Pre-punched holes are provided at each end of the Comp Clip should local building codes require fasteners. The Comp Clip can be ordered with either a 1 3/8" or 1 5/8" slot for whichever size stud the job requires. Flannery’s Comp Clip has been tested by Intertek, a Warnock Hersey testing facility (Test # 3078012). It has also received UL # R25477.
